Bulgarian
singer/bandleader, radio DJ Lilly Drumeva recently returned
from a successful trip in the United States, where she gave
concerts in Tennessee, Maryland and Delaware. Her performances
included:
- A house concert in Crownsville, Maryland, accompanied by Archie
Warnock (vocals & guitar) and Tim Kruzic (banjo);
- A performance showcase in Nashville, Tennessee at "The
Suttler", broadcasted live on "Americana Tonight"
with Al Goll (Dobro), Jesse Brock (mandolin) and Andy Wyatt
(bass); - A concert in Newark, Delaware for the Brandywine Friends
of Old Time Music, backed up by an all-star band consisting
of Marshall Wilborn (bass), Mike Munford (banjo) and Jesse Brock
(mandolin). Lilly performed to a sold out venue, receiving great
response from the audience and selling a substantial number
of CDs.
Lilly
Drumeva also was invited to attend the IBMA's annual Leadership
Bluegrass Program (March 8-10) in Nashville, Tennessee, becoming
one of the twenty-four graduates in 2005.
Future
plans for Drumeva and Lilly of the West include:
- showcase at the European World of Bluegrass,, Voorthuizen,
NL - 6 May 2005;
- Country festival in Thailweil (CH), 3/4 June 2005;
- Country festival in Presov (SL), 24/25 June 2005;
- New album release in September 2005
