Lilly's December news:

Lilly Drumeva organized the first edition of "Sofia Singer Songwriter Fest" - a new festival, dedicated to poetry and acoustic music.
Artists came from:-
Serbia (Olivera Dragicevic, Johnny L'ove),
Croatia (Vedran Ivorec),
Romania (Dan Vana) and
United States (Matt Petrarca).
Bulgaria was represented by young, talented musicians (Vyara Ivanova, Denis Apov, Boris Maslarski), as well as already established names (Viktor Makarov, Mariyana Dobreva, Petko Slavov).
The festival was held on two evenings (30.09.17 and 01.10.17) at the National Palace of Culture, Studio 5. There were satellite concerts at the Delta Blues Bar in Sofia and at the embassies of Serbia, Croatia and Romania. All venues were packed and visitors enjoyed a fine program of original songs performed acoustically. There were also concerts of famous Bulgarian bands - Tochka BG and Lilly of the West. Sofia Singer Songwriter Fest was supported by the Sofia Municipality and several partners - Interculture foundation, Jameson, Toxity Studios and Factor music house. It was broadcasted live on Bulgarian National Radio and recorded by TV 1. The festival featured also a competition part where artists performed three original songs and a jury of three members (Miodrag Jaksic, Plamen Sivov and Vasil Gromkov) evaluated the performances. The winners were as follows: 1st prize - Mariyana Dobreva (Bulgaria), 2nd prize - Boris Maslarski (Bulgaria), 3rd prize - Matt Petrarca (USA). Sofia Singer Songwriter Fest has a brand new websie:

Lilly Drumeva continues to work as music journalist, hosting her show 'In the mood with Lilly' on the Bulgarian National Radio. Recently she had several celebrity guests as well as diplomats from the embassies of Serbia, Macedonia and Romania. She dedicated a special program to famous Macedonian singer Toshe Proeski, who died tragically 10 years ago.

Between 18 and 22.10.17 Lilly Drumeva performed at the International Singer Songwriter Festival Taj-As ('This is me') in Lithuania. She had concerts at the famous cathedral, St.Catherine, as well as in Lithuanian coastal resorts. She was interviewed also for the Lithuanian national radio. For the occasion Lilly learned a famous Lithuanian folk song, 'Rudynai, purvynai'. She sang it at the end of the festival together with famous Lithuanian musicians.

On 1.11.17 Lilly Drumeva visited Haskovo, a small town in South-East Bulgaria, where she was invited by local country music fans. She gave a concert, accompanied by Rosen Hristov (banjo, dobro, mandolin). The repertoire included well-known country and bluegrass hits. Lilly was interviewed for local radio and newspaper.

On 10.11.17 Lilly Drumeva visited Lovech, a small town in North Bulgaria, where she participated at the poets with guitars festival. She performed four original songs and received an award.

Between 17 and 19.11.17 Lilly Drumeva visited Belgrade, Serbia, where she was acting as a judge at the International singer songwriter festival Kantfest, Belgrade 2017. She was a leader of the Bulgarian delegation, which included the winners of Sofia Singer Songwriter Fest: Mariyana Dobreva, Boris Maslarski and Matt Petrarca.

Between 1 and 3.12.17 Lilly Drumeva visits the capital of Romania, Bucharest, where she will meet with impresario, Dana Cristescu. She will also appear on the Romanian national radio and attend several concerts of fellow musicians. Lilly's plan is to explore the Romanian market and to have a tour there in the Spring 2018. She has already received invitations from renowned singer songwriter festivals. For the occasion she has learned a brand new song in Romanian language, written by famous artist, Maria Gheorghiu:

"Aripi de Drum"

On 14 January 2018 Lilly Drumeva and her band, Lilly of the West will perform together with a classical music quartet (Quarto) a concert dedicated to world music. It will take place at Sofia's famous classical music venue 'Bulgaria hall'. Lilly has prepared songs from all over the world and will sing in many languages: Romanian, Hungarian, Serbian, Slovenian, Italian, Spanish, German, French, Russian, Hebrew and Gaelic.

In the beginning of February 2018 Lilly will make the trip to America where she is invited to perform at the cowboy music and poetry gathering in Elko, Nevada. She will also make a stop in Nashvile, Tennessee and on the East coast, to visit friends and play music. http://www.nationalcowboypoetrygathering.org/

In March 2018 Lilly Drumeva will perform in Italy in the region around Milan. She is invited by famous Italian mandolinist Masimo Gatti.
